Blessed St Joseph Calasanctius, protector of the young, great servant of our Lord, who didst perform such great and wondrous works on their behalf; thou who didst make thyself a mirror to them of most ardent charity, of invincible patience, of most profound humility, of angelic purity, and of every other heroic virtue; and who by thy holy words and example, full of the spirit of God, didst excite them to fly dangerous occasions, to abhor vice, to hate sin, to love piety and devotion, and so didst guide innumerable souls to Heaven; thou who didst obtain for them the blessing of the infant Jesus and his most blessed Mother, visibly bestowed; O great advocate and most loving father, obtain for us too, thy humble and devout clients, a constant hatred of sin, victory over temptation, help in peril, and profit from study ; that so, by acquiring the fullness of true wisdom, which is the holy fear of God, we may attain to eternal life.
