About these readings
This is a companion for personal prayer with the Scripture passages assigned to Mass in the United States. Local feasts, optional memorials, other rites, and celebrations with several Masses may use different readings. One selection is provided for each date; the Easter Vigil includes its full sequence.
The public-domain World English Bible supplies the Scripture text, including the deuterocanonical books. It is not the approved translation for proclamation at a U.S. Mass. Whole verses are shown when the liturgy selects part of a verse. Numbers beside the text follow this translation and may differ from the liturgical reference above it. Psalm passages are provided without the liturgical response.
