How to pray five decades
- Begin with the Sign of the Cross and Apostles’ Creed.
- Pray one Our Father, three Hail Marys for faith, hope, and charity, and the Glory Be.
- Announce the first mystery. Pray one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, and the Glory Be while contemplating it.
- Repeat for the other four mysteries.
- Close with the Hail, Holy Queen, the closing prayer, and the Sign of the Cross.
You may include customary optional prayers. You can use the interactive Rosary for the full prayer text at every step.
The day assignments are customary devotional practice, not a binding rule. Sunday may use Joyful Mysteries in Advent or Sorrowful Mysteries in Lent. Choose any set when it helps your prayer.
