Carlo uses his gifts with care

Carlo Acutis grew up in Italy. He enjoyed computers and also made time for prayer, the Eucharist, friends and people who needed help. He used his interest in digital projects to share things that mattered to him.

Carlo died in 2006 while he was still a teenager. The Church canonized him in September 2025. That is why we call him Saint Carlo. His story shows that a young person’s ordinary choices can express love for God and others.

A useful question before using a screen is: what am I hoping to do? You might learn something, make a picture, talk with family or enjoy a game. You can also choose a time to stop and give someone your full attention.

You do not need a computer to do something generous. Drawing, listening, fixing, teaching and sharing are gifts too. Choose one ability you already have and think of a person it could help.
